Job Description
Your Key Duties & Responsibilities will be:

Reading and interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to understand the requirements of the project.
n
Selecting and preparing the appropriate materials, tools, and equipment for the fabrication and welding processes.
n
Dressing, Cutting, shaping, and forming metal components using various techniques such as bending, Grinding and drilling.
n
Operating welding equipment and performing various welding techniques (such as MIG, TIG, or arc welding) to join metal parts together according to specifications.
n
Ensuring the quality and accuracy of the fabricated components or structures by inspecting and measuring them against the provided specifications.
n
Conducting repairs or modifications to existing metal structures or components as needed.
n




Following safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe working setting and prevent accidents.
n
Collaborating with Managers, designers, or other team members to discuss project requirements, resolve issues, and ensure the successful completion of the project.
n
Maintaining and cleaning welding equipment and tools to ensure their proper functioning.
n
Essential Qualifications:
n
Experience in both structural and precision sheet metal work is essential
n
Minimum 3-5 years of sheet metal and welding experience required
n
Trade certificate in welding or related field required
n
An ability to read & understand technical drawings
n
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
n
Australian citizenship or permanent residency required
