ABOUT US.

Curators Coffee Corner is the first Melbourne venue from Curators Coffee Company Australia, opening in the heart of the CBD.
n
We're creating a compact, thoughtfully designed, takeaway-focused specialty coffee bar built around the rhythm of the city. Considered and consistent specialty coffee, delivered with the pace and efficiency needed for busy weekday office trade.
n
Our model is intentionally focused: counter ordering, bar pickup and shared standing room rather than traditional seated dining or table service, with a small daily pastry selection complementing the coffee offering.
n
We're looking for multiple Barista / Cafe All-rounders to join us our founding team.
n
THE OPPORTUNITY.
n
You'll work closely with the Head Barista and the wider team to maintain coffee quality, service standards and a smooth day-to-day workflow.
n
This is a genuine all-rounder role within a small, cross-trained team.
n
Depending on the shift and service flow, you'll rotate across:
n
Milk texturing and beverage finishing
n
Espresso preparation and barista support
n
Batch/filter, cold brew and iced beverages
n
POS, order taking and customer service
n
Drink hand-off and calling customer orders
n
Pastry service and takeaway packaging
n
Restocking and service preparation
n
Light wash-up and dishwasher duties
n
Opening,



cleaning and closing tasks relevant to your shift
n
The aim is for everyone to understand the operation and move confidently between service stations while maintaining a clean, efficient and supportive workflow.

THE COFFEE.
n
Our bar is built around a La Marzocco Linea PB 3 Group, Ceado Rev Titan WAM and Mahlkönig EK43.
n
A Curators coffee program is being developed in collaboration with ONA, with roasting, product development, technical and training support forming part of the relationship.
n
You'll receive structured onboarding around our coffee, recipes, equipment, workflow and service standards ahead of opening.
n
ABOUT YOU.
n
We're looking for people who are capable, warm, reliable and comfortable working as part of a small team.
n
Ideally, you'll bring:
n
At least 1 year of barista experience in specialty coffee or a quality, fast-paced café environment
n
Confidence texturing milk consistently, including alternative milks
n
Experience preparing espresso-based beverages
n
A working understanding of espresso extraction and grinder adjustment
n
Familiarity with batch/filter coffee and cold brew as an advantage
n
Clean and organised bar habits
n
The ability to work efficiently and calmly during busy service periods
n
Clear and confident communication with customers and teammates
n
Genuine hospitality and a cooperative, team-focused attitude
n
A receptive approach to feedback and learning
n
A dependable,



proactive mindset and willingness to take responsibility
n
We're looking for strong fundamentals, good habits and the right attitude.
n
Some weekend availability would be welcomed as our trading hours evolve, but is not essential at this stage.
n
Current Australian work rights suitable for ongoing casual employment and reliable weekday daytime availability are required.
n
HOURS.
n
Most team members are expected to work approximately***** hours per week initially, depending on experience, availability and trading needs.
n
Typical shifts will generally be around 4–5 hours across weekday morning and afternoon periods, with some longer weekday shifts available depending on capability and operational requirements.
n
DEVELOPMENT AT CURATORS.
n
As your skillset develops, there may be opportunities for further training, additional hours, greater coffee responsibility and senior or shift-lead duties where appropriate.
n
Development will be reviewed as capability and responsibility grow, rather than simply being tied to time served.
