We are seeking an experienced Cook to join our culinary team at a busy academy school dining program.
The ideal candidate will have professional cooking experience, a culinary background, and a passion for preparing fresh, nutritious, and high-quality meals for students, athletes, staff, and guests.
**Position Responsibilities*** Prepare and cook breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special event meals* Follow standardized recipes while maintaining quality, flavor, and presentation* Prepare large-volume meals for students and student-athletes* Assist with menu preparation, food production, and daily kitchen operations* Maintain proper portion control and minimize food waste* Follow all food safety, sanitation, and temperature-control procedures* Properly store, label, and rotate food products* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment* Assist with catering, athletic events,



and special functions* Work closely with other cooks and dining staff to ensure timely meal service**Qualifications*** **Previous professional cooking experience required*** **Culinary education, culinary degree, or professional culinary training preferred*** Experience with high-volume food production is a plus* Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen equipment* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced school dining environment* Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality* Reliable, dependable, and team-oriented* ServSafe certification preferred or willingness to obtain**Ideal Candidate**We are looking for someone who takes pride in their cooking and understands the importance of providing nutritious, flavorful, and well-prepared meals to students and athletes.If you have a strong culinary background, enjoy working with a team, and want to be part of a professional academy dining program, we want to hear from you!
