The Opportunity
n
We are seeking an experienced
Senior Asset Estimating Specialist
to join our Assets & Autonomy Group. In this Brisbane-based prospect, you will play a critical role in developing and reviewing plant rates, maintenance cost estimates, asset strategies and tender submissions that support business growth and operational excellence.
n
Reporting within the Asset Estimating team, you will:
n

Develop and review plant rates and maintenance cost estimates for tenders
n
Analyse project costs and support monthly performance reviews and benchmarking
n
Complete asset lifecycle and ownership cost reviews to optimise fleet performance
n
Support asset selection decisions for new and existing projects
n
Provide asset estimating inputs for major tenders, including labour, capital expenditure, mobilisation and cashflow requirements
n
Review project asset financial results and assist operations with budgeting and forecasting activities
n
Collaborate with Operations, Finance, Asset teams, OEMs and suppliers to identify cost-saving and improvement opportunities
n
Contribute to continuous improvement of estimating tools, systems and processes
n
Coach and support Asset Specialists, Graduates and stakeholders across the business.

About you
n
To be successful in this role, you will have:




n
n
Trade qualification or tertiary degree in a relevant discipline
n
Experience in operational, maintenance, asset management or estimating environments
n
Strong commercial and analytical capability with an understanding of asset lifecycle costing
n
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with VBA/Macro experience advantageous
n
Ability to interpret operational and financial data to support business decision-making
n
Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to work across multiple business functions
n
A proactive and continuous improvement mindset.
