ABOUT THE POSITION
n
Illaroo Cooperative Aboriginal Corporation is seeking a part-time Community Care Worker. This is an Aboriginal identified position.
n
As a Community Care Worker, you will:
n
n
Support our community clients with daily living tasks including personal care, transport, accompanied shopping, social support, and meal preparation.
n
Work in line with clients' individual care plans.
n
Promote client independence, dignity, and choice.
n
Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional boundaries at all times.
n
n

ABOUT YOU
n
To be successful in this role, you will:
n
n
Identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander
n
Previous experience in the Aged Care or Disability sector is essential
n
Current driver's license and access to a fully maintained and insured vehicle
n
Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
n




Excellent organisational, communication, and time management skills
n
Proof of COVID-19 and Influenza vaccinations
n
Empathy and a caring attitude
n
A genuine passion for supporting elderly people and making a difference in their lives
n
Ability to work under limited supervision
n
Ability to use a smartphone and/or tablet, or willingness to learn
n
Proof of COVID-19 and Influenza vaccinations
n
n
As part of the recruitment and selection process, you will be required to provide a National Criminal History Check.
