Summary:
The Floor Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hospitality services at Kuro Bar & Dining in Sydney CBD.
This position is, above all, to assist the General Manager in daily floor activities, maintaining high standards of customer service, and leading the front-of-house team to deliver exceptional dining experiences.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, in-depth wine knowledge, and a passion for the hospitality industry, contributing to the overall success of the restaurant.

Responsibilities:
Assist the General Manager in daily operations and floor management
Oversee floor operations and service standards during shifts
Lead and support the front-of-house team, providing guidance and training as needed
Advise guests on wine selections and pairings across our list




Proactively upsell food and wine items — going beyond order-taking to identify opportunities that enhance the guest experience and drive revenue
Handle customer complaints and feedback professionally and efficiently
Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area and service stations
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of experience in fine dining
Strong knowledge of wine and food and beverage service standards
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced workplace and manage multiple tasks
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
