Multi-award winning luxury hotel, the Park Hyatt Sydney seeks a qualified Commis Chef in The Living Room Culinary time. The Living Room is a contemporary, stylish and sophisticated lounge serving all day dining menus.

The main duties and responsibilities for this role will include the following:
n
n
Responsible mainly for the dinner services as well as events for assigned section
n
To ensure that operating and kitchen equipment is maintained to a good standard with minimum breakage
n
Responsible for equipment, fridges and hygiene standards in all areas.
n
Responsible for storing all the dairy products, fish, meats, dry goods and vegetables in correct manner
n
Preparing all the mis-en-place for assigned section
n
Assists in quality control of items
n
n
To be considered for this role the candidate should possess the following:
n
n
Completion of Chef Apprenticeship
n
Certificate on Commercial Cookery
n
Good Hygiene and food safety Knowledge
n




Safe and accurate knife skills
n
Knowledge and experience in a variety of different cooking methods
n
Desired: Experience as Commis Chef in 1 Hatted restaurant or similar environment
