APG Workforce is currently seeking reliable and hardworking Hatchery Assistants / Farmhands to join a busy poultry hatchery in Marsden Park.
The Role n
This is a hands-on position assisting with general hatchery, farm and facility maintenance duties. You will work around eggs and poultry while helping maintain a clean, safe and productive work environment.
Duties include: n
n
Cleaning and maintaining the facility
n
Cleaning and maintaining work areas
n
Yard and lawn maintenance
n
Moving trolleys loaded with eggs
n
Stacking boxes of chickens
n
Handling eggs and poultry products
n
Assisting with general hatchery and farm duties
n




Repetitive manual handling and physically demanding tasks
n
Following strict hygiene, safety and biosecurity procedures
n
What We're Looking For n
n
Previous farm, hatchery, poultry, cleaning or labouring experience is an advantage
n
Physically fit and comfortable with manual labour
n
Comfortable with yard and lawn maintenance
n
Reliable and willing to work in a quick-paced environment
n
Comfortable working around poultry
n
Able to follow instructions and safety procedures
n
Own car and current driver's licence required
n
Must meet strict biosecurity requirements
n
Important Biosecurity Requirements n
Due to strict biosecurity requirements, applicants must not have birds, chickens or pigs at their residence.
