About the Role
As an Aged Care Advocate, you will provide information, education and advocacy to older people who are receiving, seeking or navigating aged care services.



You will work directly with older people and their representatives to understand rights, resolve concerns and make informed decisions. This role combines individual advocacy, community education, stakeholder engagement and systemic advocacy.

Key Responsibilities
Provide information, support and individual advocacy to older people and their representatives.
Assist clients to understand aged care services, rights, responsibilities and entitlements.
Support clients to self-advocate and advocate on their behalf when require
Deliver rights-based education and community information sessions.
Develop positive relationships with aged care providers,



community organisations and key stakeholders.
Maintain accurate case records and data within Salesforce.
Contribute to identifying systemic issues impacting older people.
About You
Strong commitment to human rights, social justice and person-centred practice.
Experience within aged care, community services, disability, health or a related sector.
Excellent communication, relationship-building and advocacy skills.
Experience supporting people to navigate complex systems and services.
Experience delivering presentations, workshops or community education.
Essential Requirements
Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience.
Experience working with older people, people with disability, carers or other vulnerable groups.
Understanding of the aged care sector and My Aged Care, or the ability to rapidly acquire this knowledge.
National Police Check (or ability to obtain).
Working With Vulnerable People Registration (or ability to obtain and maintain).
Current Australian Driver Licence.
