Bulk Regional Express QLD, part of Bulk Group, is looking for a reliable and hardworking General Freight Sorter to join our Maryborough depot team.
n
This is a hands‐on role working within our depot to sort and prepare incoming freight for our local delivery drivers each morning.
n
You'll be part of the team making sure freight is sorted correctly, organised into the right delivery runs and ready to get out on the road on time.
n
Previous freight or transport experience is not essential. If you're reliable, comfortable with physical work and willing to learn, we'll provide the training you need.

What you'll be doing
n
n
Unloading and sorting incoming freight by delivery run and destination
n
Staging and organising freight ready for our drivers
n
Assisting with loading vehicles for local delivery runs
n
Checking freight labels and identifying damaged, missing or incorrectly allocated freight
n
Handling freight safely and with care
n
Keeping the depot and work areas clean, tidy and organised
n
Following site safety procedures at all times
n
Working with the depot team to get freight sorted and drivers on the road on time
n

Hours
n
n
Early morning starts – typically around 5:00 AM
n




Monday to Friday
n
Shifts are typically 6–8 hours, depending on daily freight volumes
n
Early starts generally mean early finishes and your afternoon free
n
n
What we're looking for
n
n
Reliable, punctual and comfortable with early morning starts
n
Physically fit and capable of regular manual handling, including lifting, moving and sorting freight throughout your shift
n
A good work ethic and willingness to get in and help the team
n
Able to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
n
Good attention to detail when sorting and checking freight
n
A strong focus on safety
n
Previous freight, warehouse or transport experience is welcomed, but not essential
n
