Tech Risk Enablement Consultant
Provides first-line technology and cyber risk, controls, and compliance support. The role acts as a central point of expertise, strengthening risk and control maturity and supporting the uplift of Ubank's technology risk environment.
It partners closely with Technology leadership to ensure risks are identified, assessed, and managed through effective systems, processes, and controls, and that regulatory and policy obligations are translated into practical, technology‐aligned outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor technology and data compliance risks, incidents, and control effectiveness
Support the design, implementation, and assessment of technology controls to mitigate risk and demonstrate regulatory compliance
Contribute to the ongoing maintenance and application of the Technology and Data Compliance Framework
Partner with Technology teams to support the embedding of risk and compliance requirements into processes and systems
Support risk profiling activities, including identification of key risks, indicators, and input into Divisional Risk Settings
Provide day‐to‐day risk and compliance advice on change initiatives,
operational issues, and technology activities
Support remediation activities to address control design or operating effectiveness issues
Contribute to risk forums, committees, and regulatory engagement activities as required
Drive uplift of technology risk maturity, culture, and first‐line accountability
Support initiatives to uplift technology risk awareness, capability, and first‐line accountability
Maintain working working knowledge of relevant frameworks and standards, including CPS 234, CPS 230, and CPG 235
Demonstrate a learning mindset, staying informed on emerging technology and cyber risk trends
Your Experience
Minimum 4 years' experience in technology risk management, assurance, or IT audit
Experience in technology and cyber risk management, controls, or compliance
Awareness of Australian financial services regulatory requirements relevant to technology and cyber risk
Strong analytical skills with a practical, solutions‐focused mindset
Ability to prioritise work effectively and manage multiple activities concurrently
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
