Joining a growing team, you will have the opportunity to take on projects independently while collaborating with our technical directors to deliver a range of medium to large scale projects both locally and nationally in addition to mentoring junior Environmental staff.Role accountabilities:Work across a broad range of contaminated land project types including public infrastructure and commercial/industrialWork independently with guidance from technical directors as requiredUndertake contaminated site assessment, management and remediation projects including field investigationsHave a strong understanding of NSW and national guidance pertaining to contaminated land management including contaminated land auditor scheme and risk assessment principlesTake project management responsibility for current small to medium projects, with larger projects on the horizon including coordination of field investigations, subcontractors and reportingPossess strong data management skills, with ESdat and ArcGIS experience preferableUndertake preparation of sampling plans,



site investigation/validation reports and management plans to a standard suitable for submission to regulatory authorities and site auditorsWork with local, national and multi-national clientsLead winning bid and proposal efforts which contribute successfully to profit and engagement of junior staffTake an active role in managing client relationships, both within our business units and with key external clientsCollaborating with cross-disciplinary teams and clients to ensure project integrity and successMentor and develop junior consultants within the teamActive participation in industry bodies (i.e. ALGA, ALCA).
Qualifications & Experience:First and foremost, you share our passion for improving quality of life.
You have a highly regarded base of contaminated land and remediation experience in government and private sectors and come to us with:Tertiary qualifications in environmental (or other relevant) engineering, geology/hydrogeology or environmental science***** years experience in contaminated land investigation, management and remediation, and/or risk assessment, including PFASDemonstrated experience in field investigation methodologies – various techniques for soil and groundwater sampling, soil logging, well installations,



with ability to mentor and direct junior staffAbility to develop and communicate conceptual site models relating to contaminant sources, pathways, and fate and transport propertiesFundamental understanding of state and national regulatory guidanceDemonstrated success in project management delivering to budget and programProven ability with technical aspects of proposal and report writingExperience in a consultancy environment and managing key client relationshipsDemonstrated thought leadership, through published writing and/or presentations at industry events.Why Arcadis?
