Job details Kewdale Location $*****-$*****p/h + Super (Base + Penalties) As soon as possible start About the Role We're looking for experienced and qualified Fitters to join a team based in Kewdale, with opportunities available for both Workshop Fitters and Field Service Fitters working across civil heavy equipment.
The Workshop Fitter will be based at the Kewdale workshop, performing inspections, servicing, fault-finding and repairs primarily on new equipment.
You'll work across a range of civil equipment, including ****t excavators and ****t loaders, as well as carrying out inspections and repairs on trade-in equipment.
The Field Service Fitter will attend breakdowns and servicing requirements across Perth metropolitan civil sites.
You'll be responsible for diagnosing faults on-site, including replacing motors and other components, before returning to the Kewdale workshop as required to build up parts and components ahead of completing repairs on-site.
We're looking for candidates with a Certificate III in Plant Mechanics and a strong civil equipment background, with particular experience across hydraulics and electrics.
The ability to independently diagnose and identify faults is essential, along with strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to work across a diverse range of heavy plant equipment.
Strong Light Vehicle Mechanics looking to upskill into heavy plant are also encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities Perform inspections, servicing and repairs on new civil equipment Work across ****t excavators and ****t loaders Inspect, diagnose and repair trade-in equipment Carry out general workshop-based mechanical fault-finding,



servicing and repair work Diagnose hydraulic and electrical faults independently Attend breakdowns and servicing requirements across Perth metropolitan civil sites Diagnose faults in office and replace motors, components and other parts as required Return to the Kewdale workshop as required to build up parts and components before completing repairs on-site Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop and work environment Follow workplace health and safety procedures and site requirements Complete all servicing, repairs and maintenance work to a high standard What you will need: Certificate III in Plant Mechanics Heavy Diesel/Plant (Essential) Qualification must be in Heavy Diesel/Plant Mechanics and not Road Transport (Essential) Previous experience within the civil equipment industry (Essential) Strong hydraulic and electrical knowledge and experience (Essential) Ability to independently diagnose and identify mechanical faults (Essential)
