They specialise in industrial surface preparation and protective coating solutions, delivering quality outcomes for a range of industrial applications.
With a strong focus on safety, quality and efficient workshop operations, they provide a hands-on environment for experienced trades and industrial personnel.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Sand Blaster seeking ongoing work within a busy workshop environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces through abrasive blasting, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.
What You Will Be Doing: As a Sand Blaster, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces for treatment by removing rust, paint, scale and other contaminants using abrasive blasting equipment.
You will safely operate blasting equipment, inspect completed work and assist with industrial protective coatings where required.
Your duties will include: Preparing surfaces for treatment using abrasive blasting equipment Setting up and safely operating sandblasting and abrasive blasting equipment Selecting and loading appropriate blasting media for each job Inspecting surfaces before and after blasting to ensure coating specifications are met Masking and protecting areas not requiring blasting Assisting with industrial protective coatings and paint systems as required Conducting quality checks on completed work Performing routine maintenance and cleaning of blasting equipment, hoses, nozzles and compressors Following JSA, SWMS and all workplace safety procedures Maintaining a clean,



safe and organised work area Reporting equipment faults, safety hazards and quality issues to supervisors Working collaboratively with painters, trade assistants and workshop personnel to meet project deadlines Roster: Monday to Friday 6:00am 2:00pm/3:00pm Penalties apply after 7.6 hours Unpaid breaks What You Will Need: Previous industrial sandblasting experience mandatory Strong understanding of abrasive blasting equipment and processes Ability to safely operate and maintain blasting equipment Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to follow JSA, SWMS and workplace safety procedures Reliable and safety-focused approach to work Ability to work effectively as part of a team Driver's Licence and reliable transport Preferred: Current Forklift Licence Previous experience within industrial coatings, painting or surface preparation What Is In It For You: Ongoing casual opportunity Consistent Monday to Friday roster Day shift hours Opportunity to work within an established Wangara workshop environment Apply Now Click APPLY NOW and upload your resume.
