Our client is an internationally renowned Italian design brand, known for its craftsmanship and architectural approach to furniture, kitchen and living systems.
They're looking for a client-focused Showroom Design Consultant to join their Sydney team, acting as the primary design advisor to private clients, architects and trade professionals.
This role sits at the intersection of design, product expertise and high-touch sales, guiding clients through bespoke, cohesive interior solutions from single-piece purchases through to full-home layouts.
Key Responsibilities Consult with clients in-showroom, by appointment and occasionally on-site, understanding their spatial, functional and aesthetic needs.
Develop tailored furniture layouts, space plans and joinery documentation, including material and finish schemes.
Present design concepts using 2D plans, mood boards and material samples, guiding clients through product configuration and technical feasibility.
Prepare detailed quotations and technical drawings, and project manage procurement, delivery and installation with HQ suppliers.
Coordinate with the design/technical office on bespoke requests and complex installations.
Manage the full client journey, from first consultation through to order confirmation, delivery and after-sales follow-up.




Maintain full product knowledge across current collections and new launches, and represent the brand at trade events and client presentations.
Build and nurture a client and trade-partner network to support pipeline and repeat business.
Work closely with the Showroom Manager and design team on sales targets and project pipelines.
Skills Experience 1-4 years' experience in interior design, architecture, luxury retail, or a design consultant/sales role, ideally within high-end furniture, kitchen or design-led retail.
Degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture or a related discipline.
Confident using design software such as Vectorworks, AutoCAD or SketchUp.
Robust spatial and aesthetic judgement, with an eye for proportion, material and detail.
Commercially minded, comfortable balancing design integrity with sales targets and client budgets.
Polished, professional and a natural relationship-builder, with genuine passion for Italian design and craftsmanship.
