Waste Education Coordinator

ACT NoWaste is looking for a Waste Education Coordinator to deliver a range of administration and engagement activities to support the Waste Education and Partnerships team.
The role will include:
assisting with the implementation of waste education activities, including venue bookings, and engaging with the general public at presentations and event information stands.
applying high quality and responsive customer service to community and stakeholders.
assisting with the shared customer inbox and hotline, updating frequently asked questions, and preparing responses to resident enquiries.
Researching and drafting content for waste education materials, such as A-Z Guide web pages.
administering various tasks for production including financial administration, small procurement and stock management.

Eligibility/Other requirements:
This position is required to work in a public-facing role in the ACT delivering community engagement activities.




This position requires a current Driver's licence.
This position requires a First Aid Certificate or the ability to obtain one.
Notes:
This is a temporary position available immediately for six months with the possibility of extension for up to less than 11 months and/or permanency.
An order of merit will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill future identical vacancies over the next 12 months.
This position will be in a workplace designed for activity-based working (ABW).
Under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk.
Opportunities for flexible working options could include hybrid working, being a combination of working from home, designated office based and FlexiSpace working locations across the ACT, flexible start, and finish times.
Note: Under the ACTPS employment framework you may be placed in another role where required for the efficient administration of the service.
Where an offer of employment is for a fixed-term period, any related temporary contracts within the Territory will be issued in compliance with the requirements and applicable exceptions outlined in the Fair Work Act.
