# SPIRE Concessions Associate## SPIRE Academy•### @spire\_institute\_academyPosted on 9/25/2026•Full-time## Job Description**Concessions Associate**Reports To: Concessions Manager or Venue Supervisor Location: SPIREPosition Summary:The Concessions Associate is responsible for providing excellent customer service while efficiently handling sales transactions, food and beverage preparation, and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized concessions area.
This role requires strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to delivering a positive guest experience.
**Key Responsibilities:*** Customer Service* Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
* Take orders accurately and efficiently using a Point of Sale (POS) system.
* Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and ensure a pleasant experience.
* Food and Beverage Preparation:* Prepare and serve food and beverages according to established standards and health regulations.
* Monitor inventory levels and restock items as needed.
* Cash Handling:* Process cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately.
* Reconcile cash register at the beginning and end of shifts.
* Sanitation and Safety:* Maintain a clean and organized concessions area, including counters, equipment, and storage spaces.
* Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and storage practices.




* Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor.
* Teamwork:* Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations.
* Assist in setup and breakdown of the concessions area before and after events.
* Other Duties:* Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
* Support additional venue operations as needed.
**Qualifications:*** 15 years or older* High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
* Prior experience in customer service, food service, or retail is a plus but not required.
* Skills:* Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to handle transactions accurately and efficiently.
* Basic math skills for cash handling.
* Physical Requirements:* Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, reach, and lift up to 25 lbs.
* Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with varying temperatures.
* Other Requirements:* Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.Work Environment:The Concessions Associate works in a dynamic, fast-paced workplace, often during live events.
