Registered/Clinical Psychologist - Independent Practitioner position

About Us:
Curious Minds Studio is a private practice based in the southern suburbs of Wollongong. We provide psychological therapy to adults aged 18 years+ for a range of mental health concerns. Our main interest areas are neurodivergence, perinatal mental health, trauma, and anxiety/depression/adjustment concerns.
Most of our clients are women aged between 20-50, but we accept referrals for clients of all ages 18+.
We are currently seeking a Registered/Clinical Psychologist/Clinical Registrar to join our team 2 days per week to commence with the option to add more days in the near future.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide individual therapy to adults presenting with a range of mental health concerns.
Maintain thorough, accurate and timely client notes and complete timely reports back to referring parties (e.g., GPs).
Collaborate with referrers and the practice team to ensure high quality client care.
Stay current with best practices in psychology through ongoing professional development and supervision.
Adhere to ethical and legal standards of practice.
Build your referral networks and niche so you can practise in the clinical areas that you truly enjoy.

Reduce the administrative aspects of private practice - we only see clients privately or under Mental Health Treatment Plans.
Selection criteria. The successful candidate will have:
Full registration with AHPRA and ability to apply for a Medicare provider number.
Previous experience in a private practice setting working with adults providing therapy, for a range of clinical areas.
Experience in providing EMDR.
Ideally an interest in neurodivergence, perinatal mental health, trauma, and anxiety/depression.
Strong organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Excellent client retention and ability to engage and motivate clients on their therapy journey.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to take ownership and initiative over your client care and organisation of work.
Confidence to learn the practice software to support the smooth running of the practice.
