About IOT
IOT is a well established growing multidisciplinary allied health practice delivering NDIS services across the Illawarra, Shoalhaven and Macarthur regions. Our team includes Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Exercise Physiologists who work collaboratively to support participants to achieve real, functional outcomes.
We strive to be an employer of choice. That means real training time, admin support that protects your clinical hours and a sustainable, realistic workload.
We are known for:
- Efficient systems and strong administrative support
- A values-driven, inclusive, fun and flexible work environment
- A focus on sustainable workloads and high-quality care
The Role
Based at our Wollongong clinic, you will work with clients experiencing a range of mental health conditions, including mood disorders, anxiety, psychosis and trauma-related presentations. Community-based work is part of the role: you will see people in their homes, not just a treatment room and see the direct impact of your work in how they live day to day.
Whether you are new to mental health OT or bring years of experience, you will:
- Assess clients' cognitive, emotional and physical needs to inform therapy goals
- Design and deliver evidence-based intervention plans tailored to each client's mental health needs
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychologists, psychiatrists and social workers, for coordinated care
- Educate clients and families on therapeutic techniques and coping strategies
If you are newer to the field,
you will be supported to build these skills through a structured internship pathway, aligned to the OT Australia Mental Health Capability Framework, with intensive supervision along the way.
Beyond this core training, we support further training in your areas of interest.
