THE CLIENT

With a strong focus on employee development, continuous improvement and collaboration, they are looking for a Senior Accounts Receivable Officer who can act as a key support within the finance team and help drive operational excellence.
This role will suit someone who enjoys taking initiative, improving processes and is looking to develop the commercial and leadership skills required for future management opportunities.

THE ROLE
- Take ownership of the Accounts Receivable function and support day-to-day operations
- Manage complex billing, payments, allocations, journals, credits and account adjustments
- Monitor aged debtors and proactively manage collections activities
- Handle escalated customer and stakeholder queries with professionalism and empathy
Perform reconciliations, reporting and month-end activities * Assist with government funding reconciliations and administrative requirements
- Maintain accurate financial records across customer, bond and accommodation accounts
- Partner closely with operational teams to resolve issues and improve outcomes
- Identify opportunities to enhance systems, controls and processes
- Act as a senior team member, providing guidance and support to junior staff where required
THE PERSON
Experience within Accounts Receivable, Collections or a similar finance role * Demonstrated experience managing complex billing and reconciliation processes
- Strong understanding of debtor management and customer account administration
- Natural leadership qualities with the desire to mentor and develop others
- Solid stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience within Aged Care, Health Care, NFP or Retirement Living environments will be highly regarded
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills * Process improvement mindset with the ability to identify efficiencies
- ERP systems experience is advantageous
