The opportunity

The Principal Finance Systems is MinRes’ internal subject matter expert for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365FO). The role exists to ensure that the Finance module operates with integrity, that financial controls are protected, and that accountability for financial outcomes remains clearly within the Finance function.

Key responsibilities:

- Govern main accounts, dimensions, posting profiles and system config (currencies, company codes); review changes for policy/system impact with Finance approval.
- Lead Finance requirements, UAT and checks for new companies (Coupa mapping, intercompany setup, rollover inclusion); maintain standard checklist.
- Own ledger calendar, period status, year-end rollover and JCP locks; validate consolidation vs trial balance, escalating variances.
- First point of contact for integration/batch failures (SuccessFactors, JCP, Coupa Pay); coordinate clearing account resolution.
- Investigate GL/AP/AR/Project Accounting variances and bank reconciliation issues; manage year-end audit extracts.
- Lead regression testing and sign-off for platform releases; QA Power BI reports; triage enhancement requests.
- Manage user provisioning under one-person-one-role; oversee controlled bulk data uploads.




- Maintain standard views/controls and event alerts; support Technical Accounting during year-end/half-year close.

What is required:

- Extensive finance experience gained in complex, multi-entity organisations with strong consolidation experience, along with experience in Finance Systems/ERP consulting or Finance System Accountant roles. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline, and CA or CPA membership, are essential.
- Deep functional knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, module configuration, master data governance, period close and integration monitoring.
- Proven ERP implementation and post-go-live support experience; prior Finance lead role on a D365FO implementation highly regarded.
- Solid grounding in GL, subledger reconciliation, consolidation, AP/AR, Treasury and Project Accounting.
- Skilled in preparing/reviewing Functional Design Documents for Finance module enhancements.
- ASX-listed or large corporate finance environment experience preferred; mining/resources sector experience an advantage.
- Hands-on, comfortable diagnosing and fixing issues directly, with excellent attention to detail.
