An established Tier 2 commercial builder is looking for an experienced Site Supervisor / Foreman to join their Canberra team.

With a strong reputation for delivering quality commercial projects across the ACT, the business has a healthy pipeline of work and is looking for a hands-on construction professional to take responsibility for the day-to-day coordination and supervision of projects.

The Role
Working closely with the Project Manager and wider site team, you will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Supervising and coordinating subcontractors and site activities
- Managing day-to-day site operations and construction sequencing
- Ensuring works are completed in accordance with plans, specifications and program
- Coordinating trades, materials and deliveries
- Monitoring quality, safety and environmental requirements
- Conducting site inductions, toolbox talks and pre-starts
- Identifying and resolving site issues as they arise
- Working closely with the Project Manager, Contract Administrator and subcontractors
- Monitoring project progress against the construction program
- Maintaining a safe, organised and productive site environment
- Ensuring all works comply with relevant WHS legislation and project requirements

About You





We're looking for a Site Supervisor or Foreman with solid experience working on commercial construction projects.
You will ideally have:

- 5+ years' experience in commercial construction
- Previous experience as a Site Supervisor, Foreman or Leading Hand or Site Manager on smaller projects
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies and sequencing
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Strong subcontractor and trade management skills
- Excellent understanding of WHS requirements
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A proactive, hands-on approach to site management
- Relevant construction qualifications and White Card
- ACT construction experience would be advantageous
