The Sales Support Officer will work closely with the Sales Team to develop a strong understanding of the company’s customers, products, territories and sales processes. The role is designed to provide practical support to Sales Representatives while building the knowledge and capability required to step into customer-facing and sales responsibilities when required.

The position will involve shadowing and assisting existing Sales Representatives, supporting customer accounts, following up opportunities and contributing to sales growth. The Sales Support Officer will also provide additional sales coverage during periods of staff leave, ensuring continuity of customer service and maintaining strong customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop a strong understanding of the company’s customers, products, services and sales processes.

- Shadow Sales Representatives to gain practical knowledge of customer management and sales activities.

- Assist Sales Representatives with customer enquiries, quotes, orders, follow-ups and account management.

- Build knowledge of individual customer requirements, buying patterns and opportunities for growth.

- Provide sales coverage and customer support during periods of staff leave or absence.





- Identify opportunities to increase sales, introduce products and grow existing customer accounts.

- Assist with customer visits, sales presentations and promotional activities where required.

- Maintain accurate customer and sales information within company systems.

- Work collaboratively with the wider sales, warehouse and administration teams.

- Develop the skills and confidence to progressively take ownership of customer accounts and sales activities.

Key Information:

- Monday to Friday: 8am - 4.30pm

- No public holidays or weekends!

- Car Allowance payable on business days that your own vehicle is used within business hours.
