At Churches of Christ, we have been supporting communities for more than 130 years. We are seeking a compassionate and organised Assistant Housing Officer to join our Housing Programs team and help deliver quality housing services to tenants across the community.

About the role:

As an integral member of our team, you’ll provide administrative and frontline support across tenancy and property management services. You’ll be the first point of contact for many clients, helping them navigate housing options while supporting positive tenancy outcomes.

- Responding to tenant, property and housing enquiries

- Conducting client interviews and eligibility assessments

- Assisting with property inspections and condition reports

- Coordinating maintenance requests and tenancy matters

- Maintaining accurate tenant and property records

- Supporting community engagement initiatives and tenant events

- Providing administrative support to Housing Officers

What you’ll bring to our team:

- Experience in housing, community services or a similar sector

- Robust customer service and communication skills

- Excellent organisational and administrative abilities

- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills

- A genuine commitment to supporting vulnerable people and communities

Desirable skills and experience:

- A Certificate IV in Social Housing (or equivalent experience) and knowledge of tenancy legislation will be highly regarded.
