We are the Incident Response and Maintenance (IR&M;) provider for Transurban's Sydney Southern Network spanning more than 33km of interconnected motorways and tunnels including the M4, M5, M8, M4-M8 Link and Rozelle Interchange. This will be expanded to include the Cross City Tunnel, Eastern Distributor and M5 Southwest.

The Company is looking to recruit Maintenance Crew team members to the Civil Maintenance team on the Network, located primarily at the Kingsgrove and Homebush sites.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisors (Civil), this position will be responsible for the below duties:

- Conduct routine inspections of Maintenance Sites

- Conduct routine and urgent maintenance work as directed by the Maintenance Supervisors, including maintenance of civil works (landscaping, road furniture, bridges, sound & noise-wall walls, pavements, etc)

- Grass cutting, vegetation/tree trimming, litter collection & graffiti removal on open sections of motorways

- Cleaning of ground water drainage pits, flame trap pits, tunnel walls, ventilation/ pump stations and water treatment plants

- Effective and economical use of plant and equipment

- Assist in incident response activities as required

- Cleaning up after accidents, incidents and spills





- Implement traffic control measures as required for maintenance activities or as a consequence of motorway incidents.

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

Candidates holding relevant qualifications such as trade certificates, Traffic Control, Forklift Tickets, MR License and experience working in a similar environment are encouraged to apply, as are those from outside the industry with transferrable skill sets.

This is a shift work role working over a seven-week, 24/7, rotating shift roster pattern that comprises both day and nights and includes work over some weekends and public holidays.

All positions will need to:

- Participate in daily pre-starts, monthly toolbox meetings & risk assessments

- Complete time and attendance records

- Ensure that safe work practices are observed at all time

- Have a thorough understanding and commitment to occupational health safety and environmental requirements.
