About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented person to join our drafting & detailing team, to create planning and structural drawings of our custom steel buildings.

This person will work under and be mentored by a very experienced senior draftsperson, and supported more broadly by an excellent and experienced team.

Key responsibilities include:

- Produce architectural and structural drawings to customer requirements that meet relevant codes, standards, and regulations

- Communicate with customers, engineers, architects, project managers, council planners, planning consultants, and building surveyors

- Assist with structural steel detailing when required

- Developing, standardising, and improving our documentation processes including implementing and maintaining CAD standards, templates, and best practices

- deliver projects within the required timeframes whilst maintaining quality

- build relationships with multiple stakeholders and communicate technical information effectively

- obsess with details and getting things right (errors cost us due to rework).

- work efficiently and embrace continuous improvement

You will need:

- 3+ years drafting experience, ideally with proficiency in Revit

- Ideally experience in the steel building industry eg sheds

- Ideally knowledge in planning, building and shed industry standards, regulations, practices and methodologies
