About the Position

We have an opportunity for a Storeperson who will be responsible for the accurate receiving, storage, picking, and dispatch of SMC components and products, ensuring timely delivery to internal and external customers in line with SMC quality standards.
You’ll be Responsible for

- Personal performance to agreed KPI’s and pro-active reporting on variances.

- Maintain warehouse housekeeping standards.

- Maintain accurate stock as per the company procedures and work instructions.

- Use appropriate PPE to ensure safety.

- Use warehouse equipment with care to maintain them in optimal condition (e.g. forklifts, pallet jacks).

- Maintain a high level of pick accuracy by ensuring all orders are picked correctly, verified before dispatch, and processed in accordance with established warehouse procedures.

- Use of SMC’s ERP/WMS/Third Party programs to perform warehouse tasks.

- Ability to work independently but also participate in team meetings, identification of corrective actions and improvements to address errors and or improve warehouse operations and performance to KPI’s.

- Other duties reasonably considered to be within the scope of this position may also be assigned from time to time.

- Valid High Risk Work (Forklift licence) required.
