Hunt Hospitality is a NSW hospitality group with pubs and hotels across Newcastle, the Hunter, the Mid North Coast and beyond. Our venues each have their own character, but they share a focus on bringing people together for good food, drinks, entertainment and local events.

We’re looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join the team supporting our venues. This is a wide-ranging role where you’ll work closely with head office, venue managers and administration teams to keep our finances and day-to-day processes running smoothly.

What you’ll be doing

- Coordinate venue administration teams, including payroll, financial reporting, accounts payable and general administration.

- Complete venue administration tasks where needed, and review and finalise work at head office level.

- Assist with end-of-month reconciliations and end-of-month and end-of-quarter reporting.

- Monitor operational performance, investigate variances and provide financial information and recommendations to support projects and business decisions.

- Work with venue managers and administration teams to resolve queries.

- Help maintain accurate PLU reports, stocktakes and data analysis.





- Coordinate compliance and stocktakes across the business, including insurance renewals, boundary and licence plans, and applications to Liquor & Gaming NSW.

- Support and monitor the work of our internal and external bookkeeping teams.

- Improve procedures, automation and systems to reduce operating costs.

- Assist with training and recruitment of administration team members when required.

- Take on other reasonable tasks that support the team.

What you’ll bring

- At least two years of bookkeeping experience.

- Experience using Xero.

- Payroll experience.

- Strong Excel skills.

- A practical, organised approach and the confidence to work with people across multiple venues.

Experience with POS systems and Deputy would be an advantage.
