Your impact

As a Part-Time Bus Refueller, you will play an essential role in ensuring our fleet is ready to safely serve customers every day. Working on a rotating night shift roster, you will be responsible for refuelling buses, conducting pre-service inspections, reporting vehicle defects, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Your contribution will help keep our operations running smoothly and our customers moving.

This position is based at our depot at Port Botany and may suit a student, semi-retired person, or someone seeking consistent evening work.

What you will do

Refuel buses to ensure they are ready for daily service operations.

Conduct pre-inspection checks to monitor vehicle condition and identify issues.

Report defects, damage, maintenance concerns, or repair requirements.

Move and park buses safely within the depot yard (training provided).

Maintain cleanliness and safety standards within the refuelling area.

Follow all workplace health, safety and environmental procedures.

Contribute to a positive team culture and support depot operations.

Shift details

This is a part-time position (25 hours per week) working Monday to Friday.





Your roster will rotate weekly across the following 5-hour evening shifts:

6:00pm to 11:00pm

7:00pm to 12:00am

8:00pm to 1:00am

9:00pm to 2:00am

Please note: These start and finish times are not negotiable. Successful applicants must be available to work any of the above shifts as part of the rotating roster.

Additional weekend overtime opportunities may be available.

What you bring

Experience & Qualifications

Valid NSW C-Class Driver Licence.

MR or HR Licence preferred but not essential.

Demonstrated maintenance, fleet, transport, automotive or similar operational experience is essential

Commitment to following safe work practices and procedures.

Skills & Attributes

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities with minimal supervision.

Strong safety focus, particularly when handling flammable fuels and operating around vehicles.

Reliable, punctual and accountable.

Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and report vehicle defects.

Willingness to learn and undertake training related to vehicle movements and depot operations.
