Drive philanthropy that changes lives

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced relationship fundraiser to take ownership of an established philanthropy portfolio, and be part of a capital campaign.

As Philanthropy Manager, you will lead major donor, trusts & foundations, PAF and corporate partnership fundraising, working closely with supporters who are passionate about creating meaningful social change.

Reporting to the Executive Director, Communications & Fundraising and sitting within the fundraising leadership team, you'll be responsible for managing sophisticated donor relationships, securing significant philanthropic investment and driving best-practice donor stewardship and moves management.

You'll inherit a strong portfolio including major donors, highly engaged supporters and an established philanthropic program, while also helping shape the next stage of growth as Odyssey House aims to significantly increase fundraising income over the coming years.

This role is perfect for a confident relationship fundraiser who thrives on building connections, making strategic asks and delivering outstanding donor experiences to create lasting impact for the people it helps.

How you'll make a difference

- Manage and grow a portfolio of major donors, trusts & foundations, PAFs and corporate partners through strategic cultivation, solicitation and stewardship.




- Develop and implement donor engagement strategies, tailored funding proposals and stewardship plans that strengthen donor retention and lifetime value.
- Build and manage a strong pipeline of philanthropic opportunities, identifying new prospects and funding partnerships.
- Prepare compelling grant applications, donor communications, impact reports and funding proposals.
- Support the delivery and ongoing success of Odyssey House's capital campaign through donor engagement and stewardship activities.
- Lead fundraising forecasting, income reporting, budgeting and pipeline management activities.
- Manage and mentor the Database Administrator while supporting best-practice donor management processes.
- Collaborate across fundraising, communications, finance and operational teams to maximise fundraising outcomes and organisational impact.

You're the perfect person if

You're a strategic and relationship-focused fundraiser who enjoys engaging with donors, understanding their motivations and connecting them to meaningful opportunities for impact.

You combine strong emotional intelligence with commercial acumen and are confident managing high-value fundraising conversations while maintaining a donor-centred approach.

To be successful, you will bring:

- Demonstrated success in high value fundraising (major gifts, trusts & foundations, philanthropy or corporate partnerships).
- Proven experience with strategic moves management of prospecting, cultivating, asking and stewarding donors.
- Experience managing fundraising pipelines, revenue targets, budgets and forecasting.
- High-level written communication skills, including proposal and grant writing.
- CRM experience, ideally with Raiser's Edge, Blackbaud, Salesforce or similar donor management systems.
- Confidence conducting donor meetings and making funding asks.
- Strong reporting,



analytical and data management capabilities.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to a collaborative team culture.

Experience within higher education, health, social services, community organisations, capital campaigns, gifts in wills, marketing or communications will be highly regarded.
