About the Role:

The Department has a requirement for project managers with project/construction management background who has skills in project delivery with an understanding of security measures in building projects.

The Project Manager must have an understanding in the administration of contracts, building regulation compliance, fee negotiation with specialist contractors, management of allocated budgets and be able to project manage locally and remotely. The role is to keep the project delivery progressing (on time and on budget) whilst protecting the integrity of the design and ensuring full compliance with security measures/regulations.

Skills and Experience Required:

- Ability to liaise with key stakeholders and develop project briefs to deliver security upgrade projects.
- Manage the procurement of consultants and contractors to deliver security projects.
- Design reviewed against the project brief.
- Review design documentation for consistency, usability and implementation of security components.
- Identify issues prior to commencing components of the build and re-prioritise if required.




- Undertake site visits where required.
- Develop statement of work for external contractors.
- Draft contract Work Orders; and
- Demonstrated ability to understand and monitor associated budgets.

Location and Contract Term: This role is ACT based . Contract till 30 June 2027 with 1 x 12 - month contract extension options pending budget and delegate approval.

Security Requirements: Applicants must be Australian Citizens and hold a NV1 security clearance
