Have you started your career in freight forwarding and are ready to learn more?

TGI Cargo is looking for a Junior Freight Coordinator with around 12 months’ industry experience and working knowledge of CargoWise to join our Brisbane team.

You might currently work in sea freight, air freight, imports, exports or another area of forwarding. We don't expect you to have experience across all of them.

What we're looking for is someone who has learned the foundations, enjoys the industry and is ready for an opportunity to broaden their experience.

At TGI Cargo, you'll gain exposure across operations, pricing and project logistics, with the opportunity to progressively build your knowledge across different modes and areas of international freight forwarding.

What You'll Be Doing

Working closely with our experienced Operations and Sales teams, you'll assist with:

- Import and export freight coordination

- Creating and maintaining shipments in CargoWise

- Monitoring shipments, transhipments, schedules and milestones

- Following up carriers, overseas agents and transport providers

- Requesting and chasing freight rates

- Assisting with customer quotations

- Providing shipment updates and following up outstanding information

- Supporting straightforward operational files

- Assisting with project logistics shipments, tracking and coordination

- Providing operational and pricing support across the team, within your level of experience and training

We don't expect you to know everything from day one.

You'll be supported by our experienced team, with responsibilities increasing as your knowledge and confidence develop. Over time, you'll have the prospect to take greater ownership of straightforward shipments and quotations.

What We're Looking For





You don't need to be an all-rounder already — that's what we want to help you become.

Ideally, you'll have:

- Around 12 months’ experience in freight forwarding or international logistics

- Working knowledge of CargoWise

- Experience in any area of international freight forwarding – whether that's sea freight, air freight, imports, exports or operations support

- A good understanding of the basic freight forwarding process

- Strong attention to detail and organisation

- Good written and verbal communication skills

- A proactive approach to following things up

- Most importantly, a genuine desire to learn and broaden your freight knowledge

As your experience and responsibilities develop, there may be opportunities for the scope and level of the role to evolve with you.
