Grenfell Preschool and Long Day Care is seeking a qualified Early Childhood Teacher to join our team for a six-month, part-time position working two days per week.

About the role

Working alongside our educators and service leadership, you will contribute to an engaging, inclusive educational program that responds to each child’s interests, strengths and developmental needs.

We are looking for someone who builds genuine connections with children and families, brings thoughtful ideas to the team and understands that quality early learning is built through both intentional teaching and everyday interactions.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Planning, delivering and evaluating play-based learning experiences aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework.

- Observing and documenting children’s learning, using this information to guide planning and communicate progress with families.

- Creating a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment that supports children’s wellbeing, confidence and participation.

- Working collaboratively with educators, sharing your knowledge and contributing to reflective practice and continuous improvement.

- Maintaining professional standards,



active supervision and a strong commitment to child safety.

About you

You will bring warmth, sound professional judgement and a practical, collaborative approach. You will be confident contributing your teaching expertise while respecting the experience and ideas of others.

You will need:

- An ACECQA-approved early childhood teaching qualification, or an equivalent recognised by ACECQA.

- Current NESA teacher accreditation and a valid NSW Working with Children Check for paid employment, with both in place before commencement.

- A sound understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework, National Quality Standard and child protection responsibilities.

- Strong communication, planning and documentation skills, together with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
