Job description:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Safety, Health and Environment Advisor to join our team on an initial fixed-term contract until April 2027.

Partnering with one of our Hardware Group businesses across South Australia, you'll work closely with leaders and frontline teams to strengthen safety culture, improve compliance and embed the Metcash safety management system across a diverse network of sites.

This is a hands-on role with regular travel across metropolitan and regional SA, offering variety, autonomy and the prospect to make a genuine impact on safety outcomes.

What You'll Be Doing

- Drive safety improvements across metropolitan and regional sites in SA
- Support the implementation of the Metcash safety management system.
- Conduct inspections, audits and compliance reviews.
- Coach leaders on risk management and safe work practices.
- Investigate incidents and support corrective actions.




- Build strong stakeholder relationships and influence positive change.
- Travel regularly to support sites and strengthen safety capability.

You're Likely a Match If You Have

- Experience in a Safety, Health and Environment, WHS or similar role.
- Strong understanding of workplace safety legislation and risk management.
- Experience conducting audits, inspections and incident investigations.
- Ability to influence, coach and build trusted relationships.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety and a current driver's licence.
- Experience with safety systems, contractor management or plant safety will be highly regarded.
