Position Title: Occupational Therapist

Employment Type: Flexible casual employment with the potential increase to permanent part-time.

Location: From the Ground Up Wellbeing Farm - Indoor & Outdoor Therapy Clinic

Pay rate: $75.00 p/h (including 25% casual loading) + superannuation

Position Overview

We are seeking an innovative and passionate Occupational Therapist to join our inspiring team at a nature-based therapy clinic for approximately 2 days per week. Practitioners can move the therapeutic process outdoors and incorporate interactions with animals into the individualised treatment plans of those receiving therapy.

Practitioners work with clients to provide individualised, strengths-based intervention that focuses on functional skill-building, regulation, and participation in meaningful activities.

About the Role

Paediatric Clients:

- Conduct assessments and deliver intervention for children with a range of needs including sensory processing, developmental delay, ASD, ADHD, trauma, and emotional regulation challenges.

- Provide outdoor, play-based therapy that supports functional goals in areas such as motor development, sensory & emotional regulation, executive functioning, and social participation.

- Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to ensure holistic and consistent support.

Adult Clients (Mental Health & Functional Skill-Building):

- Support adult clients with psychosocial disability, trauma histories, anxiety, depression, or neurodivergence to build daily living skills, routines, and community participation.

- Facilitate purposeful outdoor-based therapeutic activities to enhance emotional regulation, stress management, and engagement in meaningful occupations.

- Assist with life skills development (e.g., organisation, routines, communication, meal preparation,



and employment readiness).

General Duties:

- Maintain up-to-date clinical documentation, progress reports, and outcome measures.

- Deliver functional assessments and develop capacity-building plans aligned with NDIS goals.

- Work flexibly across settings – including therapy farm, indoor therapy room, sensory garden, walking trails, and community environments.

- Participate in regular supervision, team meetings, and professional development.

- Contribute to the growth and improvement of the program and service delivery.

Key Requirements

- Occupational Therapy qualification

- Current AHPRA registration

- Working with Children Check and current Police Check

- First Aid and CPR (or willing to obtain)

- Commitment to a high standard of practice and professional development

- Valuable communication, documentation, and organisational skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
