Motor Mechanic - Derrimut Kogan People Solutions are working with a highly regarded smash repair shop, located in Derrimut Vic who are currently seeking an experienced and qualified Motor Mechanic to join their professional and friendly team. Known for their high-quality workmanship and customer-focused service, this highly skilled team caters to a diverse range of vehicles, including domestic and imported models. About the role: This role will allow you to utilise your skills and experience to provide post-collision mechanical servicing, maintenance, and repairs to a wide range of vehicles.

The role is full time, and ongoing.

- Based in Derrimut Vic
n
- Salary: $80,000 - $85,000 per annum + Superannuation
n
- Ongoing training and supportive team environment

Responsibilities include:

n

n
- Provide first-rate mechanical servicing, mechanical collision repairs, and maintenance to a wide range of vehicles.
n
- Detect and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in light vehicles using modern computerised diagnostic equipment.
n




- Perform routine scheduled maintenance services as well as complex mechanical repairs, including engine overhauls, transmission, steering, suspension, and brake repairs.
n
- Test, adjust, and reassemble mechanical components to ensure optimal vehicle performance and safety standards.
n
- Adhere to workshop safety protocols and industry standards to maintain a safe working setting, including the safe disposal of hazardous materials and mandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

You should be able to demonstrate the following attributes and strengths to be considered:

n

n
- Relevant trade qualification (Certificate IV in a highly relevant field or agreed equivalent)
n
- At least 3 years' post-training professional experience as a qualified Motor Mechanic.
n
- Demonstrated passion towards the automotive industry.
n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
n
- Solid professional references.
n
- Strong work ethic, can-do attitude, and excellent time management skills.
n
