Job Description

Support patients across busy outpatient services at Blacktown and Mount Druitt Hospitals
n Use iPM and electronic systems to keep appointments and patient information accurate
n Be a welcoming frontline contact for patients, visitors and hospital staff

Where you'll be working

n

Join the administration teams at Blacktown and Mount Druitt Hospitals, supporting outpatient and maternity services in a fast-paced healthcare environment. You will work alongside clinical and administrative teams to help ensure patients receive a smooth and well-organised experience.

Work across a range of hospital clinics and outpatient services

n

Provide friendly, professional frontline reception support

n

Support productive patient flow and accurate clinic administration

n

Work collaboratively with clinical and administrative teams

n

Contribute ideas that improve administrative processes and services

n

What you'll be doing

n

As an Outpatients Administration Officer, you will play an important role in keeping clinic operations running smoothly through accurate data entry, records management and responsive patient support.

n

Enter and maintain accurate patient and appointment information in iPM and electronic systems

n

Manage medical and antenatal records, including retrieval, preparation and re-filing

n

Book maternity patients, support Pre-Admission Clinic processes and prepare required documentation

n





Confirm specialist appointments and maintain Medicare, Workers Compensation and ineligible patient records

n

Provide reception and general administrative support, including filing, photocopying, faxing and maintaining stationery supplies

n

Demonstrated administration experience with competent use of IT applications including but not limited to computerised patient administration systems and Microsoft Office Programs.

Excellent reception skills & customer service including appropriate telephone manner and a patient-centric approach to service provision

n

Demonstrated high level of written, verbal and electronic communication skills to work well with a broad scope of patients, staff and affiliated organisations.

n

Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team to achieve quality patient/service outcomes

n

Proven ability to maintain professionalism when dealing with both clients and staff during stressful situations.

n

Demonstrated ability to follow systems and processes to support efficient and effective service delivery.

n

Demonstrated ability to use initiative and to prioritise multiple tasks with competing timeframes with exceptional organisational and communication skills

n





Commitment to own professional development and willingness to undertake further organisational based training when required
