We are seeking a skilled and driven Senior Farm Hand to help run the day-to-day operations of the property. This role suits someone with solid operational farming experience who is ready to take the next step in leadership, planning and farm business management.

The role will support the Farm Manager across broadacre cropping, livestock, machinery and day-to-day work coordination. It would suit an experienced operator who can work independently, maintain high operational and safety standards, and provide guidance to junior and seasonal staff.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Support the Farm Manager across broadacre cropping, livestock and machinery operations, helping coordinate day-to-day work and maintain high operational standards.
n
- Carry out broadacre cropping tasks including seeding, spraying, fertiliser application and harvest, along with livestock care, working independently on more complex tasks.
n
- Help coordinate daily work schedules and task allocation across the farm, ensuring jobs are completed on time and to a high standard.
n
- Provide guidance and support to junior and seasonal staff, helping onboard new team members and maintain consistent work practices.
n
- Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment safely, carrying out routine checks and basic maintenance, and coordinating with external technicians for bigger repairs.
n
- Keep accurate records of daily activities, including crop applications, livestock health, equipment usage and maintenance,



and help provide reports to the Farm Manager.
n
- Follow OHS regulations and farm safety protocols closely, wear appropriate PPE, and help maintain a safe, high-performing work setting.

Required Skills & Qualifications

n

n
- Extensive experience in broadacre cropping and livestock operations, able to work independently to a high standard.
n
- Strong machinery operating skills, with the ability to manage minor repairs and coordinate more complex maintenance work.
n
- Confident guiding and supporting junior and seasonal staff, helping maintain consistent, high-quality work practices.
n
- Strong problem-solving skills, able to work through issues with crops, livestock, equipment or logistics as they come up.
n
- Well organised, with the ability to coordinate daily tasks and manage time effectively across a busy operation.
n
- Clear communicator, able to work well with the Farm Manager, other staff and the broader team.
n
- ChemCERT or minimum AQF Level 3 chemical accreditation required.
n
- Full driver's licence required.
n
- Work vehicle provided.
