Service Maintenance Trade Assistant - Loganholme

Trafquip is a leading provider of traffic management vehicles, equipment and solutions across Australia. We are looking for an experienced and reliable trade assistant to join our hire team at our Loganholme depot.

This is a hands on role suited for a someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in their work and wants to be part of a supportive team.

The Role

n

Working from our Loganholme depot, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of traffic management vehicles and equipment, ensuring everything is protected, reliable and ready for our customers.

n

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

n

Carrying out servicing, repairs and preventative maintenance on vehicles and equipment

n

Liaising with clients and suppliers providing an exceptional level of service

n

Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults

n

Conducting inspections for on hire and off hire

n

Repairing and maintaining light vehicles, trucks, trailers and traffic management equipment

n

Assisting with breakdowns and urgent repairs when required

n

Maintaining accurate service and repair records

n

Vehicle and equipment delivery and collection

n

Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard

n

Document servicing and maintenance records for compliance and record keeping

n

Working closely with the depot and fleet and operational teams to keep equipment operational and minimise downtime

n

About You

n

We are looking for someone who is:

n

Trade qualified or deemed competent in light vehicle mechanic, heavy vehicle mechanic,



diesel fitter, small engine mechanic, auto electrician or similar trade and have relevant mechanical experience

n

Minimum 3 years experience in your chosen field

n

Experienced in vehicle servicing, diagnostics and repairs

n

A proven ability to be adaptable to changing priorities and work conditions

n

Comfortable working on a variety of vehicles and equipment

n

Practical, reliable and able to work independently

n

Safety-focused with a strong attention to detail

n

A good communicator who works well as part of a team

n

Proactive and willing to get stuck in

n

Able to prioritise jobs and respond to changing operational requirements

n

Basic computer skills ,mobile devices for email, internet, and basic transactional processing

n

A level of physical fitness as required to complete role requirements with medical check

n

A valid drivers' licence

n

MR-HR drivers licence is an advantage

n

Forklift ticket is an advantage

n

Experience with traffic management vehicles, trucks, trailers, hydraulics, auto electrical systems or specialised equipment will be highly regarded, but is not essential.
