Job Description

Butter Fish Services is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our team. You will report directly to an Advanced Practitioner and receive weekly one-on-one professional supervision. This provides regular opportunities to discuss complex cases, receive clinical guidance, reflect on your practice and continue developing your professional skills.

About the role

You will work with participants, families, support workers and other professionals to deliver high-quality, person-centred behaviour support.

n

Key responsibilities

n

Completing functional behaviour assessments

n

Developing and reviewing Behaviour Support Plans

n

Providing practical, evidence-informed behaviour support strategies

n

Working collaboratively with participants, families and support teams

n

Providing guidance and training to support workers and other stakeholders

n

Completing high-quality reports and clinical documentation

n

Monitoring participant outcomes and reviewing strategies

n

Supporting positive behaviour and participant quality of life

n





Travelling to regional and rural locations as a required part of the role

n

About you

n

Relevant qualifications in psychology, behaviour science, social work, occupational therapy, counselling, disability or a related discipline

n

Experience in positive behaviour support, disability or allied health

n

Willingness and ability to undertake regional and rural travel

n

Current driver's licence and reliable access to a vehicle

n

Relevant NDIS screening and other required clearances

n

Strong communication, report-writing and organisational skills

n

A person-centred approach and commitment to ethical practice

n

Part-time or full-time employment
