The Position

This hands-on positionwill lead and manage a small team and the operation of theSell and Parker Newcastle BulkCollection "Return & Earn" Point. In this role, you will coordinate, supervise andparticipate in theactivities of the processing facility to ensure optimum productivity and high-quality customer service.

About You

n

You will be a hands-on manager who can hit the ground runningand lead the ongoing development and implementation of processes for a successfuloperation. You will be adaptable and have the flexibility to adjust processes when needed to improve productivity and operational efficiency.

- Proven experience in recyclingoperations is desirable but not essential.
n
- Proven experience in a customer-facing leadership position running a safe and productive operation for a minimum oftwo years (this could include experience in fast food or retail in a structured work environment).
n
- Proven understanding of Work Health and Safety legislation.
n
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
n
- High-level organisation skills.
n
- Problem solver.
n
- Ability to attain and retain fitness for work (including clear Drug and Alcohol Screens).
n
- Currently have the right to work in Australia.
n
- Pass a Police Check.
n
- Forklift licence (LF) is an advantage.

Trading since 1966 Sell & Parker Metal Recycling Services is an Australian-owned and operated family company. Sell and Parker operate five collection points for the NSW 'Return and Earn' inBlacktown, Prestons, Windsor, Coffs Harbour andNewcastle and two collection points for the VIC Container Deposit Scheme (CDS).

As the result of an internal promotion we are now looking for a Return and Earn Manager at our Newcastle site.

NSW's Container Deposit Scheme (CDS) is part of the NSW Government's investment to transform the state's waste and recycling sector. Before NSW introduced the Return and Earn scheme drink container litter made up 44 per cent of the volume of litter in the state and cost more than $162 million a year to manage.

The Return and Earn scheme rewards consumers for returning containers, cans, and bottles to designated recycling pointswith a 10-cent refund per eligible container.
