The Transport Coordinator at Coates Truganina is a critical operational role responsible for managing changing transport priorities in a high-volume operational environment and balancing safety, Chain of Responsibility compliance, customer requirements, transport efficiency and cost control.

n

You Will Enjoy a Variety In Your Role Including

n

n
- Coordinate and schedule portable building deliveries, collections, transfers and relocations.
n
- Plan transport movements to maximise truck utilisation and minimise delays, waiting time and empty runs.
n
- Coordinate with customers, transport providers and internal teams to ensure buildings are ready and transport requirements are clearly communicated.
n
- Monitor transport movements and proactively manage delays, access issues, failed deliveries and changing customer requirements.
n
- Ensure transport activities comply with Coates safety standards, load restraint requirements and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) obligations.
n
- Raise purchase orders, maintain transport records and monitor transport costs and utilisation.
n
- Challenge unsafe or inefficient transport practices and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
n
- Work closely with Branch and Operations teams to support asset utilisation, profitability and the "right truck, right load, right time" approach.
n

What You'll Bring

n

n
- Experience coordinating portable buildings, heavy equipment, oversized loads or similar specialised transport would be highly regarded.
n
- Demonstrated understanding of load restraint, loading/unloading risks and transport critical risks.
n
- Practical understanding of Chain of Responsibility and the shared responsibilities of parties across the transport supply chain.
n
- Robust commercial awareness,



including an understanding of transport costs, utilisation and productivity.
n
- Ability to analyse transport requirements and make decisions that balance safety, service and cost.
n
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple deliveries, collections and transport providers simultaneously.
n
- Confidence to stop or challenge a transport activity where a safety or compliance concern exists.
n
- A continuous-improvement mindset, with the ability to identify safer, simpler and more efficient ways of working.
