The Y Queensland has recently opened a brand-new Outside School Hours Care service in Bracken Ridge, and we're looking for an experienced and passionate Coordinator to lead it into its next chapter.

n

This is a rare opportunity to make your mark from the beginning. You'll shape the service's culture, lead and develop its team, create engaging programs and build meaningful relationships with children, families, the school and the wider community.

About the Role

n

As the OSHC Coordinator, you'll take ownership of the day-to-day leadership and operation of the Bracken Ridge service.

n

You'll be responsible for creating a safe, welcoming and engaging environment where children feel a genuine sense of belonging—and where educators feel supported, valued and excited to contribute.

n

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Leading, supporting and developing the service's educator team
n
- Establishing a positive, collaborative and child-focused culture
n
- Overseeing the delivery of engaging and meaningful programs
n
- Building strong relationships with children, families and the school community
n
- Managing daily service operations, administration and compliance
n




- Supporting enrolment growth and strengthening community engagement
n
- Ensuring child safety, quality and inclusion remain at the heart of the service
n
- Bringing fresh ideas and helping shape the service's long-term direction
n

You're a confident and people-focused leader who understands that exceptional OSHC services are built through strong relationships, thoughtful programs and supported teams.

You'll bring:

- Experience working within OSHC, education, childcare or a related environment

- The ability to lead, motivate and develop a team

- Strong communication, organisation and relationship-building skills
n
- A sound understanding of child safety, compliance and quality practice
n
- Creativity and enthusiasm for developing engaging experiences

- Confidence working independently and taking ownership of a service
n
- A genuine commitment to helping children learn, grow and thrive

- A relevant qualification that meets the requirements of the position
