Verve Partners is working with a well-established construction business delivering commercial and industrial construction projects across the Newcastle and Hunter region. This is a hands-on Project Manager role covering project delivery, cost control and quality management from pre-construction through to handover.

nAbout the Role n
n
Reporting to the Construction Manager, you'll take responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of commercial and
industrial/structural
construction projects, working closely with Site Supervisors and project teams to ensure work is delivered on time, on budget and to a high standard of quality.

Key responsibilities include:
n

n
n
Preparing daily programming and managing project schedules, budgets and resources
n
n
Interpreting client needs and maintaining robust client relationships throughout delivery
n
n
Overseeing quality control, including inspections against plans, specifications and relevant building codes
n
n
Managing changes to project scope, schedule and costs, including variations and claims
n
n
Coordinating and managing sub-contractors and site personnel
n




n
Ensuring compliance with WHS legislation, site safety management plans and company policy
n
n
Producing progress reports and administrative documentation as required
n
n
n
n
nAbout You n
n
n
n
Proven project management experience within commercial and/or
industrial/structural
construction
n
n
Sound construction knowledge, including reading and interpreting drawings and specifications
n
n
Relevant tertiary qualification in construction management or project management
n
n
Solid understanding of WHS requirements and quality assurance standards
n
n
Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules and sub-contractors
n
n
Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
n
n
Ability to work independently, prioritise effectively and problem-solve under pressure
n
n
n
n
n
