Availability: Essential for outdoor pool season (November 2026 to March 2027)

Location: Outdoor pools – located at Colbinabbin, Kyabram, Lockington, Rushworth, Stanhope and Tongala

Junior Lifeguard pay rate: $43.83 per hour (inclusive of 25% casual loading)

n

Lifeguard pay rate: $45.05 per hour (inclusive of 25% casual loading)

Campaspe Shire Council is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Lifeguards to join our outdoor pool team for the 2026/27 summer season. As a Lifeguard, you'll play an important role in creating a safe, enjoyable and welcoming workplace for our community. Whether you're an experienced Lifeguard or currently working towards your qualifications, we'd love to hear from you.

About the Role

n

n
- Supervise pool patrons and ensure a safe aquatic environment at all times.
n
- Enforce facility rules and promote safe aquatic practices.
n
- Respond effectively to emergencies, rescues, and first aid incidents, and complete incident reporting as required.
n
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and presentation throughout the facility, including change rooms.
n
- Identify and address potential safety hazards to minimise risks to patrons and staff.
n
- Follow established safety procedures, training requirements,



and emergency action plans.
n
- Provide excellent customer service to all facility users.
n

About You

n

n
- Pool Lifeguard Certificate (or in the process of obtaining it).
n
- Current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID003).
n
- A valid Driver's Licence.
n
- A valid Victorian Employee Working with Children Check.
n
- Satisfactory National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
n
- Successful completion of a pre-employment medical assessment.
n
