RÜH was born in Wollongong in 2021 from a belief that great food, specialty coffee and genuine connection can make people feel at home. RÜH means "soul", and that spirit now runs through four cafés across the Illawarra. We serve honest, flavour-led food without pretension, care deeply about warm hospitality, and proudly support local clubs and community causes.

We're looking for a skilled, reliable and creative full-time Chef to join our Wollongong team. You'll work closely with our Head Chef and the wider kitchen and front-of-house crew to deliver consistently excellent food in a busy café setting.

What you'll do

- Prepare, cook and present dishes to RÜH's quality and presentation standards
n
- Keep service organised, calm and consistent during busy periods
n
- Contribute ideas for seasonal dishes, specials and smarter kitchen systems
n
- Manage prep, stock rotation, ordering, portion control and waste
n
- Maintain excellent food-safety, hygiene and WHS standards
n
- Support and coach junior team members
n
- Work closely with front of house so every guest receives warm, seamless service

What you'll bring

n

- Proven experience as a Chef in a fast‐paced café or restaurant kitchen
n
- Relevant commercial cookery qualifications or equivalent experience
n
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, kitchen operations and food safety
n
- A sharp eye for flavour, consistency and presentation
n
- Good communication, organisation and time‐management skills
n
- A positive, hands‐on attitude and reliable availability across a seven‐day roster
n
- $79,423 per year plus superannuation
n
