As a detailed Cabinet Maker / Joinery Installer, you will uphold the high standard of work associated with Coast Bay. Your exceptional craftsmanship, speed, and problem-solving skills will be integral to delivering high-quality outcomes for our diverse clientele. You will be responsible for designing, fabricating, assembling, and installing cabinets and other woodwork in residential, commercial, or industrial spaces.

Key responsibilities

n

Reading blueprints, drawings, or client specifications to determine the design

n

Measuring, cutting, shaping, and assembling wood, laminates, or other materials

n

Using power tools and hand tools like saws, routers, drills, and sanders

n

Making standard cabinets, curved cabinets, wall panelling, battens, louvers, finger pull edging, carving, etc.

n

Applying finishes such as varnish, stain, or paint

n

Transporting and delivering cabinets to job sites

n

Preparing and leveling surfaces for proper installation

n

Assembling and securing cabinets to walls, floors, or ceilings

n

Adjusting doors, hinges, and drawers for smooth operation

n





Repairing or modifying existing cabinetry as needed

n

About you

n

Trade certificate or equivalent and 3 years of experience; OR a minimum of 5 years of experience in related field

n

Proven experience as a Detailed Cabinet / Joinery maker, wood carver

n

Proficiency in using hand and power carving tools

n

Strong artistic and creative abilities

n

Excellent attention to detail and precision

n

Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity

n

Strong understanding of wood types and their properties

n

Patient and able to work meticulously

n

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

n

Commitment to maintaining high safety standards
