RFCTech is looking for an experienced Fibre Optic Technician to join our small, established team.

n

We're seeking someone with genuine hands‐on fibre optic experience who is confident working independently, but equally comfortable working alongside others when required. This is a practical, site‐based role for someone who can take ownership of their work, solve problems and consistently deliver a high‐quality result.

Experience working on NBN infrastructure is highly regarded.

About the role

n

Your work will include:

n

n
- Installing, terminating and testing fibre optic cabling
n
- Fibre splicing, fault-finding and repairs
n
- Reading plans and following project specifications
n
- Completing accurate job records, test results and documentation
n
- Working independently across allocated jobs and client sites
n
- Collaborating with other technicians and trades when required
n
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety and site presentation
n
- Communicating clearly with clients, contractors and the RFCTech team
n

About you

n

To be successful in this role, you will have:

n

n




- Demonstrated hands‐on fibre optic experience
n
- Experience with fibre splicing, termination, testing and fault‐finding
n
- NBN experience preferred
n
- The ability to work confidently and independently
n
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team
n
- Strong attention to detail
n
- Accurate and thorough documentation skills
n
- A practical, reliable and solutions‐focused approach
n
- Good communication and time‐management skills
n
- A current Australian driver's licence
n
- A current White Card
n

Relevant telecommunications registrations, endorsements and industry qualifications will be highly regarded.
