JRT Group is continuing to grow, with multiple civil projects across Rockhampton and Yeppoon. We are seeking an experienced and proactive Human Resources Administration to join our team.
n

Role Overview:
n
As the HR Administration, you will provide essential HR function for the operational workforce, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
n
This role will support the full employee lifecycle and play a key role in ensuring compliance with Australian employment legislation and modern awards.
n
You will work closely with management to provide practical HR advice, support workforce planning and organisational development, and contribute to continuous improvement of HR work systems and processes.
n
What You'll Be Doing:
n
n
- Provide end-to-end HR support across recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding
n
- Maintain accurate HR records and systems (HRIS/ payroll integration)
n
- Interpret and apply modern awards, employment legislation and other relevant legislation
n
- Support management employee relation matters, including investigations and performance management
n
- Assist with policy development, implementation, and compliance audits
n
- Coordinate training,
inductions, and workforce development initiatives
n
- Support payroll and timekeeping processes in collaboration with finance / payroll items
n
- Track licences, competencies, and training requirements
n
- Prepare HR reports, letters, and general correspondence
n
- Ensure all documentation aligns with company policies and WHS requirements
n
- Contribute to HR projects, including system implementations and process improvements
n
- General office and HR administrative duties as required
n
- Contribute to continuous improvement of work systems and workplace culture
n
n
What We're Looking For:
n
n
- Previous experience in a HR administration role (preferred)
n
- Working knowledge of Australian employment law and modern awards (preferred)
n
- Strong organisational skills and high attention to detail
n
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
n
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
n
- Professional approach with the ability to maintain confidentiality
n
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
n
- Experience with HR and payroll systems (MYOB Advanced, HR3, or similar) (preferred)
n
- Experience in construction or civil industry (advantageous)
n
- Ability to apply initiative and self-drive to achieve goals within time constraints
n
