The Opportunity

Our client is a rapidly growing Australian energy retailer with a strong reputation for competitive products, customer service and innovation. They are seeking an experienced Compliance Manager to lead and embed a practical, commercially focused approach to regulatory compliance. You will work across the organisation to ensure customer-facing and internal processes remain compliant, effective, and fit for purpose.

Key Responsibilities

- Support the development and implementation of an effective compliance program across the organisation.
- Ensure the compliance framework aligns with applicable energy legislation, industry standards and state-based regulatory requirements.
- Manage compliance plans, registers, incidents, breaches, investigations, and remediation activities.
- Review systems, policies, and operational processes to identify risks, weaknesses, and improvement opportunities.
- Develop scalable compliance solutions that protect customers while supporting commercial and operational objectives.
- Prepare scheduled regulatory reports and respond to requests and enquiries from regulators.




- Work with distributors and internal stakeholders to resolve customer and billing-related compliance matters.

About You

You will bring:

- Demonstrated regulatory compliance experience within the utilities or energy retail sector.
- Experience managing customer, billing, and operational compliance matters.
- A sound understanding of the regulatory framework governing Australian energy retailers.
- Experience managing compliance incidents, breaches, investigations, reporting, and remediation.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and a willingness to examine operational processes closely.
- Experience participating in regulatory consultations or managing regulatory change programs will be highly regarded.
